Fast friendly service... Good food with good portions

A scenic setting overlooking the New River with friendly service and great food. What more could you ask for? We will visit again next time we are up on beautiful West Virginia.

Great river view seating outside. We arrived on a Tuesday for lunch. We were told they weren't taking anymore orders for 20 minutes. Said they had to "catch up." We paid for our drinks and sat on the patio. (Drinks should have been free.) The waitress came outside to tell us we could come inside and order. We go inside and two other parties we already placing their orders. They weren't waiting like us. We enjoyed our wait time on the patio and the waitress was nice.

Been eating here since I was a kid. When I bring visitors up this way we almost always hit up Kirk's. Ice cream on the deck overlooking the river during warmer months is a great time. Cornbread Tuesdays are epic.

Food was good ! However while there I noticed no employs ware mask . The seating is as covid 19 was never here. All spaces open can set anywhere. They did not clean tables between customers. And nothing for social distancing. For that 2 stars.

A truly great local establishment with something for everyone on the menu. Great views from the patio and a favorite for locals and vacationers. The staff is as pleasant and personable as can be found and their sweet tea is to die for.

The closest thing to home cooking you'll get n Hinton. Have eaten there a lot over the years - probably my favorite there is the hamburger steak, but I prefer it with cheese and onions, not the milk/sausage gravy they make

I have to say personally the food was great not only me but my family was pleased as well would like to send out a big thanks to the older gentleman the young girl's grandfather that is always there he is an awesome awesome guy. He made my day along with my meal I love that old man nothing but smiles and great people and an awesome View

Great chili dogs and the best view around. They are open for 50% seating now, all patio tables are 6' distanced.

Their homemade biscuits are the very best you'll ever have! Fluffy large buttermilk taste! Everything is delicious but my favorite is breakfast. Lovely atmosphere with the river out back and you can eat outside or in and enjoy nature.

The food was great. The prices are good. They have a really beautiful deck with seating over the New River, but it was a little slow getting our food most likely because how busy they were. Definitely will go again.

Kirk's is a longtime favorite of the residence and visitors in Hinton WV. Be sure to check out the daily special. Great view of the river and outside dining area.

Where's the BEEF....over $4 for a hamburger that didn't taste good. Burger was smaller then mc Donald's not going there no more

Awesome place,, friendly and great food!!!

I was vacationing in the area, but had to make it a point to stop here at Kirk's. The food is always delicious. The staff is always attentive. But the views are the best of all if you sit on the patio! You get a fantastic view of the river and usually there are ducks right below that wait for any scraps of bread to be thrown off the side. If you're lucky you see an occasional kayaker go by down the river. A very peaceful spot to have a quick lunch or dinner! I highly recommend Kirk's!!

Clean, friendly staff, home cooked food made quick.

I have eaten at Kirks for decades. Bob Kirk, original owner, was first class. Bob was a champion angler and a good man. Bob also owned and operated a Maytag Appliance store in hinton...next in line was Leonard and Wima who carried on this tradition for years. Excellent restaurant with long history...mistake if you do not visit and share a meal.

Warmed up micro wave fast food... Most our meal was cold and tasteless.. Food selection is very basic . Hostess was not the nicest. The only good experience we had was our waitress. She was very apologetic and went out of her way to make it right..

I've been coming here my entire life. The food, view, and service never fails to be amazing.

This is the most delicious tasting food in Southern West Virginia. People drive from as far away as 100 miles to eat at this Locally owned and operated restaurant. Everything is made from Scratch and you could not ask for a more simple and enjoyable environment to relax and eat your food in. I highly Recommend you try it out for yourself.

Loved the food but it took a while to get someone to take our order that was upsetting but the food was delicious
